Client context

The client is a venture capital firm based in the Netherlands. They specialize in investing in growing technology companies across Europe. As a young and ambitious VC, they’re quickly establishing themselves but face the challenge of operating with a smaller team. Despite limited resources, they need the same level of detailed market insights as larger firms to support both due diligence and the search for new investment opportunities to grow their portfolio.

The challenge

To make informed investment decisions, the VC required detailed competitor analysis. They needed a clear understanding of market dynamics, key players, and emerging trends. With limited capacity, conducting this level of analysis risked becoming a bottleneck in their process.

The approach

To help the VC meet their goals, I introduced a team of my self-built AI Agents (Multi-Agent System). These agents acted as their extended team, working seamlessly alongside them through the following steps.

  1. Tailored data collection: I worked with the client to identify exactly what information they needed. From there, we tailored Collector Colin’s process to focus on gathering competitor data from websites, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and other relevant sources. Colin made sure every piece of data came with verified source links, giving the team confidence in its accuracy.
  2. Turning data into insights: Angelina Analyst stepped in next. Using Colin’s datasets, she analyzed trends, uncovered gaps, and highlighted new opportunities. Her findings were shared through easy-to-read visual reports, helping the team focus on what really mattered.
  3. Making it a natural fit: We integrated the agents into the VC’s regular workflow, so using them felt straightforward and natural. The Manager Agent coordinated tasks between Colin and Angelina, ensuring smooth collaboration and consistent quality.

This approach gave the VC team the tools they needed to make smarter decisions without feeling overwhelmed by technology or complexity.
